At Beechview we understand the pivotal part technology plays in day-to-day life and we want to inspire our children to become masters of technology for their future self. Computing enables the children to learn about technology and how to use it in a positive and responsible way, ensuring they are safe. Our pupils become creators - our knowledge and skills-rich curriculum challenges pupils to become skilful computer scientists, coders, game designers and much more. We aim for pupils to become fluent in a range of tools to best express their understanding and knowledge. 

At Beechview, we use Purple Mash to deliver our computing curriculum which provides enables us to teach a broad, balanced and interesting computing curriculum. This scheme of work goes beyond the national curriculum, continually being updated and reflecting the ever-changing technological landscape including units on physical computing, industry-standard software and AI.
