Beechview Voice
Beechview Voice is the name of Beechview Academy's School Council. The name was decided by the council members to represent their role and the importance of the pupils' voices being heard.
Their mission statement was created by the members and is as follows:
Mission Statement
2024-2025
'Beechview Voice will work hard to ensure students enjoy their learning. We will encourage friendships and establish a stronger bond between students and staff.
By the end of this academic year, we intend to give voice to those who feel they have none.'
This Autumn term, the Beechview Voice completed a pupil survey, which showed that 96% of the pupils enjoyed coming to school. Of the pupils, 99% said they got on well with their teachers and 95% felt safe coming to school. Great results but we will be looking at ways to improve the school more with help from Beechview Voice.
The amazing council also designed and ran a fantastic Christmas fair, which raised £493.52 - the most we have ever raised for an event! This was due to the council's idea of running it from generous donations from our school community. The Beechview Voice members were incredibly committed to their event and worked tirelessly to ensure its success. We are very proud of them.
With the start of the new term, Beechview Voice will be looking ahead to plan future events, support their peers and contribute to the continued development of their school.
